We are Ed and Connie Hall. .We are lifelong bibliophiles (book lovers) who would rather get lost in a good story than just about anything else. That story can take many forms but most of the time it’s found between the covers of a book. We love bookstores and have long considered opening our own store. This site is a start. Several years ago, working for a friend with a bookstore, Connie was appalled when the store owner started taking boxes of books to the dumpster. Ed was appalled when Connie loaded up all those books and brought them home, but she eventually won him over! That’s where the rescue began. A few years later, she discovered ways to make use of all those books through the many forms of altered book art. Along the way, she got some book repair and binding practice. That’s our repair and repurpose. We love putting the right book in the right person’s hands, whatever final form it might take. That’s rehoming. So come on in and look around. Our blog carries book-related posts, and our online store lists our used books. You can order them online, and we will mail them to you, or, if you live close enough, you can come pick them up. Soon, we hope to add book parts for artists, as well as some original book art. We love talking to people about books, stories, and authors, so send us a message or stop by.
